"Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race" with record registration numbers for 2023

Berlin, August 15. The Berlin Cycling Federation (BRV) is once again organizing the "Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race" from August 25 to 27. Before the registration deadline on August 20, entries from more than ten countries have already been received. "The registration numbers this year have almost exploded with 200 athletes. We will more than triple the number of participants compared to last year. The bottom after Corona has finally been passed. Of course we are happy about the response - but we are reaching our limits", says Claudiu Ciurea, President of the Berlin Cycling Federation.

This year, the three-day stage race for the U13 male/female and U15 male/female age groups will once again take place in the heart of the sports metropolis Berlin. The event will kick off on Friday, August 25, with a circuit race and a team time trial on Tempelhofer Feld. On Saturday, August 26, an individual time trial and a circuit race are on the Tour schedule. On Sunday, August 27 (start: from 10 a.m.), the final stage of the "Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race" will follow on a four-kilometer circuit with start and finish on Olympic Square at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

"We are pleased to be able to offer a race for the youngest in cycling again after 2022. We are sticking to our proven concept after the positive feedback. The youngsters need this platform to compete fairly. We as an association want to create the opportunity for this - coupled with intercultural encounters in the sports metropolis of Berlin," says Claudiu Ciurea, President of the Berlin Cycling Association.
