kids-tour returns as "Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race"
Berlin (rad-net) - The popular youngsters' stage race "kids-tour" is rolling over Berlin's streets again this year - but under a different name. In mid-August, it will take place again under the title "Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race" after a two-year break. This was announced by the Berlin Cycling Association.
"After we have restructured the Berlin Cycling Association in recent months, both in terms of personnel and content, we can now resume a traditional brand with a new concept. First of all, we have the young talent in mind and want to challenge and promote them specifically with the 'Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race' in Berlin, in Germany and also beyond," explained Claudiu Ciurea, President of the Berlin Cycling Federation.
The return of the "Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race" is planned for August 19-21. Four stages will be prepared over three days in the heart of the capital. The start will be on Tempelhofer Feld; the next day, the race will head into the city center to Karl-Max-Allee and Alexanderplatz. The finale is scheduled for the Olympic Stadium. At the moment, last route permits are being obtained, so changes are still possible.
